7. Take Precaution on Conficker. C Worm |

Have you experienced a slow Internet access, or even network disconnections? Do you know why? It could be caused by Conficker (also known as Downadup, Kido) which is a computer worm by exploiting Microsoft Windows vulnerability.
It is likely that your Windows operating system software might not be up-to-date. These software updates, known as patches, are released by Microsoft to protect against known security problems. They help prevent network-borne virus or security threats from exploiting these vulnerabilities of the Windows system.

8. Reminder: Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) Upgrade on 11-13 Apr |

As announced in last issue of ITSC Digest, the upgrade of the 200KVA Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) to 400 KVA UPS will be carried out between 9pm, 11 April (Saturday) and 5am, 13 April (Monday). Although critical systems such as Campus Network, Wi-Fi Service, VPN, CWEM and CUHK web server etc., will still be available as usual, we also suggest avoiding critical computing activities during this UPS upgrade period.
