The Faculty of Business Administration is pleased to receive donations from Professor Larry Lang to set up "Professor Larry Lang Foundation Scholarships".  Starting from 2006-07, Professor Larry Lang donates HK$50,000 in each semester to award 10 outstanding business students.

        Professor Larry Lang, a distinguished scholar in finance, has donated HK$50,000 in each semester to the Faculty of Business Administration to establish "Professor Larry Lang Foundation Scholarships".  Starting from 2006-07, ten outstanding business students in each semester are awarded the scholarships. The first cohort of the scholarship recipients (tabled) was selected and they were invited to a luncheon with Professor Larry Lang on 6 November 2006.

        The scholarship recipients should be 1^st, 2^nd or 3^rd-year full-time undergraduate students of Integrated BBA Programme (with concentration area in General Finance or Financial Engineering), Quantitative Finance Programme or Insurance, Financial and Actuarial Analysis Programme.  They should also be the 10 best performing students in the aforesaid concentration areas / major programmes and in financial needs.

        Miss Xu Wancen, one of the scholarship recipients, expressed on behalf of the Faculty and other scholarship recipients heartfelt gratitude to Professor Larry Lang for his generosity and support to the business students.

        Professor Larry Lang is currently Professor of Finance in the Department of Finance of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.  He is recognized as one of the distinguished scholars in finance in the international education arena.  His journal papers are frequently published in top academic journals.
